Merry Belated Christmas

Hi
.
.
.

What an awkward start to today's entry. I usually start off my blogs with the first word that comes into mind because I don't like to make it so unrealistic like I'm a great blogger/writer. I am just being normal and typing out my life situations and experiences.

So recently, as we all know, it was Christmas. Merry Belated Christmas everyone. This Christmas wasn't as exciting as the previous years. Actually, the previous Christmases weren't that exciting either. But the food was quite enticing.
Again, I didn't do much on Boxing Day either. I didn't go out to pick up cheap items like the rest of the world did but what I did that I hope is far more special was to eat home made vanilla ice cream that I made on Christmas. It was meant to be our Christmas dessert but unfortunately, it wasn't frozen enough and it was still soft and not quite frozen so instead I had it as my afternoon tea on Boxing Day. The texture was really soft and firm and it just melted in my mouth. It was a bit too sweet I admit but by far, I think that was the only fault for my first go. Next time, I want to try making another flavoured ice cream. What do you say? Perhaps green tea ice cream. I feel so happy that I actually put an effort to make something for my family for Christmas because I rarely do and considering it's my first time making that ice cream, I feel like congratulating myself for my efforts.

Being born in a family that isn't very outgoing, I was... I could describe it as being forced to stay home because I am by far the most outgoing person in the family. I don't even know how that gene could have been within me because neither of my parents are as outgoing as me. They like what is called 'Home Sweet Home'. Home is good. But too much home is too boring. In my opinion that is. Anyway, the point of that mindless rant was that because I am seen as a 'home girl', I personally developed a habit of 'creating things' when I am bored. By 'creating things', it can be making cards. Now tell me, who sits at home and make cards? Out of a large population, I'd say a handful because of the advanced technology and the laziness that people have developed. I, on the other hand, like to make cards for friends. I mean, friends who would appreciate a hand made/ purchased card. I find it very rude and impolite to bin cards that others have given them. But anyway, I made Christmas cards for my friends and family which took days and days and days. Patience was required however, 60% of the time, I defy that nature. I am quite impatient but I guess, if it comes from the heart, it's worth it. It really is like saying, if you admire someone, say your partner, you'd do anything for them. I thought that was a joke when I first heard of it but until you actually experience it, that saying tells truth about how much they care and appreciate them.

Anyway, I am going to leave it at this point and this will probably be the last post for 2012.
Happy New Year and look forward to 2013.
