notably, it has been hot for the last few days and its unsurprising. i mean, it is Queensland after all. However, the weather today isn't too bad with a few ghastly winds and also because i am staying at home, for once. no work to go to!
as an update to what i have been up to... whether you're interested or not, i shall continue.
this week is week 13 and indeed, it is the final teaching week of the uni semester and it was all about exam hints and revision. so besides uni, i had work on wednesday night which awfully dreading!
the following day, i was invited by the course convenor of this particular course, Employment Relations, to attend a short afternoon tea session with other fellow students. of course, it wasnt all the students who enrolled for this course was invited. only 12/483 students were selected to have this wonderful afternoon break. why? well, i guess it all starts from this very popular quote, 'no pain, no gain'. It was for students who achieved a High Distinction in Employment Relations. i must admit, i have worked particularly hard for it to be achieving such high results for my assessments so relating back to the quote, without the hard work i have put in, no special invitation from the course convenor. So what did we do? well, the course convenor invited us to a cafe that was located at the university and each one of us were shouted a drink and nibbles. i was surprised and felt kind of bad for having a course convenor who i felt like i was a stranger to, to be shouting me beverages and so i ordered a latte. it is my most favourable drink so i thought why not treat myself to a latte. it was great. the texture was incredibly smooth. goddamnit, couldnt get enough of it! anyway... we had a chill session where we talked about topics that were related to the course and our experiences in regards to employment. everyone had something to share so i was like trying to dig up some stories and experiences from where i work. it wasnt too bad. i made some new friends and learnt about everyones culture. it was definitely a worthwhile invite.
the next day (friday 26th), it was an incredibly hot steamy day. it was 33 degrees i heard but i reckon it was just beyond that! i had an early tutorial and i woke up a tad late for my bus. so i immediately jumped out of bed rushing to get ready and you can picture the rest of my rushed morning. by the time i finally got out of the house, i only had 10 mins till my bus came and usually it takes me 15 mins to walk to that bus stop. with my long speedy legs, i arrived there within 7 minutes. i was speed walking so fast to the point you couldnt figure out whether i was jogging or speed walking. but anyway, when i got to the bus stop.... i was huffing and puffing and finding shade to chill until the bus came. i stood there and waited and waited and waited. can you believe it?! IT WAS LATE T_T like really!?!? after i broke the record of arriving there within 7 minutes, it was late. by the time the stupid bus came, it was already 8:35am and it was 13 minutes late. i was kinda annoyed that i didnt even say HI to the bus driver when he said HI. oh wells. so blahh blahh...on my way to uni with the comfort of a weak aircon. so that was my morning adventure.
In the afternoon on the same day, it was still hot. i couldnt help it but text shelly 'i want ice cream'. so yep, we went and got desserts along with Tai. We went to Fusion Cafe in Robertson because from memory, their desserts are so godlike! I had Grass Jelly with condensed milk with green tea icecream. i thought one scoop of ice cream was enough considering how much sugar it has but this shelly, had grass jelly with condensed milk WITH vanilla icecream WITH green tea icecream WITH red beans. the counter chick got so confused by her order even and we spent a good 15 minutes trying to explain to her the correct order. we were not satisfied with the service but who cares, they really have good desserts! oh and i forgot to mention, tai got some chicken and rice thing. the food was served quite quick and we immediately gulped down our dishes. well we didnt really gulp... anyway, so we spent a good hour and a bit hanging out and eating before i had a lecture at 6pm. yep, it sucks to have classes on a friday night however, that will be the last for this semester! :) yep, so shelly drove me to uni. it will certainly be a month and a bit before i reunite with most of the 'people i know of'.
and today? today, i woke up at 8am to do the laundry because dad doesnt know how to do the laundry which makes me lol a bit but yeah... i was bored, knowing that i had to study. it was kind of my goal for today but i think i'll just let it go :) and so i was bored... and guess what i did.

"Some people care too much. I think it's called love" - quoted from Pooh Bear |
this guy and girl. same age. got together. dated. girls parents disliked it. guys parents were neutral. broke up. one formal event was going on. the both went and at that stage, they so called couple were not back together. until this very night. the guy leaned towards her and gave this girl a peck. she was astounded. why? - she thought. guy explained that she was 'the one'. girl was so happy because she had been hoping for this day to happen. the girl denied and said that there are heaps of other girls. the guy argued back and state once again that she was 'the one'. girl threw herself on her and the typical actions happen. the guy walked the girl, hand in hand, towards where his father was sitting and when they got there, the guy didnt speak. the father understood (since they were holding hands) and the father accepted that reality. the girl's parents happen to randomly pop up and gave their daughter a deadly evil stare. BOOOM! the end.
this other story i wanted to share goes very similar like the one just told:-
this guy. this girl. same age. got together. dated. girls parents disliked it. guys parents were neutral. broke up. they went to this religious place where they met each other again after a long period of time. the girl was playing with the younger children who like the girl very much. the guy decided to join and soon they were all playing happily. the guy talked to the girl about their previous relationship. the girl was being a good daughter and denied that it cant happen again because she knew her parents would dislike it so much. the guy denied and said nothing else mattered and jumped for her and gave her a peck. the girl gave in for a bit. then retracted back to her normal self ... but what happened next? BOOM! the end - mystery is left for the future to discover.
So, those are my 2 stories i wanted to share. it sounds cliche but dreams are dreams. so back to the photo, that was a quote from Winnie The Pooh, a character i love very much since i was a child and until now, i adore him. the quote really relates to me and i cant express it enough through a picture, words or action. yet, the future is left for itself to uncover the real truth.
I shall leave it to here and i will get back as soon as possible after i have satisfied myself with the study i plan to do.
PS: i am devastated because i dont have the camera to take pictures for a while because my mum took it with her overseas. and my phone has crap picture quality however, i try to post one picture for every new post. && perhaps share your views in the comments? :)
again, i really appreciate the time the readers took to read this. ty
